how do u win points through pigsback on racecaller- do u have to go through pigback everytime or do they know cos u registered through them?

You only need to do the initial registration through Pigsback. After that you can just go direct to race caller

No, when you join racecaller you are given 200 points to bet with each month. This is what you use, not piggy points. You just gain piggy points for each winner you get, but they aren't added till the middle-ish of the following month. If that makes sense?
