i joined pigsback last night after reading some of this thread, am a bit confused as i have gone in today and there are no click throughs for me, are they weekly?

also, the competitions and quizzes, i cant quite see where they are,

i have made a decision that im only going to get money from pigsback by clicking and entering things rather than buying things (unless i was going to anyway) as it defeats the object, what are the best ways of doing this in addition to the click throughs??

    thanks

If you look at the post two above yours you will see some current clickthroughs. Post #448 has all todays competitions and answers. The only other way to get points really is to sign up for things, at the moment the 'free' offers are:

Travel Asia (sign up for newsletter)
    Ugg Boots (enter competition)
    Songpeople (sign up)
Racecaller (sign up and tip winning horses)
    Visit London (sign up)
    Value Mail (sign up)

Think there may be some more, but try typing those into the pigsback search engine it should come up with the details and get you started. Chances are you may have to chase them up for the points though, I've only been joined 2 weeks and had to send them 3 emails already.

Hi hope someone can answer my questions......

    What are Maiden Stakes ?
And what's the difference between stakes and Handicap ?
In a handicap how do you know who is carrying the most weight ?
Often peoples best tips are known as NAR what does that mean?

    TIA

I should say that was picked very quickly, and pretty much randomly late last night.

You have done well so far so a quik one every now and then is OK.

After all they are not all certs anyway.
    What are Maiden Stakes ?

I know about as much as you do about horse racing and why I never bet real money on them.

I think Maiden would be a female horse or first time out.

I used to work with a person who new trainers and sometimes they know who will win even months before the race.

I did bets with him many years ago but we never lost, we had a 33/1 anti post winner and a winner at the Gold Cup. I think that was the nearly all the bets I have ever done.

By the was the 33/1 winner had the same trainer as the favourite.

My referal points were waiting for me today from my mum claiming her first voucher yesterday.

For those who want an outsider tip on racecaller today - my uncle gave me a tip as he has "friends in the know" and I have never lost on one of his tips. He puts real big money on the horses so they know their stuff.

Please don't tell me off if it doesn't come in though:p

What are Maiden Stakes ? Horses that have never won a race.
And what's the difference between stakes and Handicap ? A higher class where horses try and carry more weight against others and still win.
In a handicap how do you know who is carrying the most weight ? Numerical order will carry the most weight, the lower the number the higher the weight ie No.1 will always be top weight.
Often peoples best tips are known as NAR what does that mean? I am NAR and people are being very kind because I have tipped some winners on this thread.

    TIA

    Hope this explains everything!

Have just joined racecaller, need to ask bone question

Can I just check to qaulify for the 100 piggypoints it states I need to place at least 1 tip

Is a tip basically placing a bet ?

I did look back through all racecaller posts for pigsback but could not find this clearly answered, so for my benefit will someone answer this for me.

It is definitely getting plenty of support. I backed it @ 7/1, though it has been backed down from 9/1 to 6/1. I backed it each way so if it finishes in the first 4 I will be happy enough - it is definitely on my shortlist to win the race. Thanks very much for sharing - let's just hope it does the business. :T

I wasn't sure about this either so, as well as placing bets, I also e mailed a tip to myself at a spare e mail address just to be on the safe side.
