I know, I was really disappointed too when I saw the vouchers had gone up, I hate to be a complainer, has anyone else got the gumption to complain to this added loss of 150 piggypoints? If so what did pigsback say in explanation, surely it shouldnt cost us £1.50 to purchase a gift voucher? They dont charge in shops or online from the stores.
Piggy's roasting us, never mind sizzling!!

Well I did try... here's the rather convoluted reply:

Regarding the increase in vouchers cost, the costs in running and operating Pigsback.com for the most part aren't passed onto our members. When applying PiggyPoint prices all the costs surrounding labour, administration, handling etc as well the procurement of the Reward have to be considered, not just postage alone.
Based on these business costs, we have had to apply an increase on our Reward PiggyPoint cost as well.
Previously we significantly reduced the number of PiggyPoints so that vouchers were issued in exchange for the equivalent PiggyPoint price e.g. a £10 voucher cost 1,000 PiggyPoints. Unfortunately we simply cannot continue to offer the Rewards at this PiggyPoint price. The is the first ever increase in the costs of the Rewards, and in consideration of the previous reduction, is quite small. The increase is necessary I'm afraid and will help us to continue to provide the offers and Rewards which are on site at the moment.

I realise that an increase in PiggyPoint costs is never going to be welcomed however our PiggyPoint Rewards are more than fair and generous and in consideration that no cash payment is required, either directly or indirectly to order a Reward and the fact that this required increase is part of the operating cost of the website, our members are still getting a fantastic return from their participation on the website.

Not sure I agree with the 'fair and generous' bit and the fact that there is little in the way of other rewards onsite makes it doubly frustrating!

Let's hope we can all get to our next voucher soon and tell the Piggy to take a hike!!

Had this in response to me stating UK pigsbackers feeling underrated, and if we were likely to get a 10 piggypoint weekly quiz of our own.

    Hi ,

There are lots of ways to earn Points throughout the site. You received 100
Points for joining and if you go into Update My Details and want to give us your
demographic details you can earn more Points. On your Homepage, you will have
access to 5/10 PiggyPoint featured offers which is an offer with a 5/10
PiggyPoint graphic underneath and you will earn 5/10 Points for simply clicking
    into the offer!

Some of our brand partners offer points for subscribing to their newsletters or
registering with their own website. Members have the opportunity to earn
PiggyPoints by viewing offers, entering competitions, submitting surveys,
sending us in submissions, booking or purchasing with a partner site. The more
familiar you become with the site, the more offers you will see. Many of our
offers are linked to PiggyPoints, however please ensure whatever offer you
decide to take up through the site, that you read the offer page terms and
conditions. These have important information on how to earn or claim
    PiggyPoints.

    Kind Regards,

    Evelyn

Not really an answer to my questions is it. Shall just plod on with occasional CT's, join offers which seem fair and reasonable and of course keep going with racecaller, until they change the goalposts on that as well.
Just because your paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you ! :rotfl:

I tipped 12 winners over the month of April, which should mean 120ppts! :j
Just checked and I joined on 31st March, which probably means I won't get the 100ppts for registering.

Well done knightowl, even though he had a non-runner today, on winning pigsback league! :T

Curly has visited racecaller pigsback league forum and reiterated what racecaller administrator stated that 10 piggypoints will be added per winner until the end of 2008.

Frankly I do not have the time to chase up every single transaction , copying e-mails, arguing the toss. I am very impressed with those of you who do go into battle with curly and get your points credited. As for me, I'm going off to have a good scream and a long G & T and then sign upto Topcashback in the hope that they are more honest than piggy. (thieving swine)

HI there cheapscate. I know exactly how you feel; it happened to me, I lost £20 to topcashback and if you search for topcashback ripoff on this forum you'll find my moan. I agree, the levels of error and oversight here aren't acceptable. Good luck with future moneysaving!!
