Hi all
We have some savings, about $500 and the logically part of me says 'use to pay some off the cards' but this needy bit of me says 'what if '
How do you get over this? I've read Martins advice on this but need to get it into my head, any ideas?
best wishes
Charlotte

First, I'd conver t the $ to £ - for the exchange rate.
Then I'd look at the interest rate i'm getting on the savings. If this is less that any interest you are paying on a debt - it is dead money. Instead of putting all of it towards the debt, you could keep a small cushion of say £200 and this should take the sting out of any emergency that may come up.
After that, i'd go looking for your £ sign. Have you checked your regional settings?
Start - Settings - Control Panel - regional and language options - should be set to EnglishAfter falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0
Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110 -
Have you done a snowball yet? https://www.whatsthecost.com. If you have then go and snowball with £500 and see how it looks, I find that spurs me on.
I bet you know what my advice would be lol.0
