Can anybody who owns one say otherwise? I can't stand these types of MP3 players.
Cheers,
Not sure as I've only used the software. Will try it later and let you know.0 -
Because other users had reported problems, I am not using the official software that comes with the HDD120. I am using an alternative program written by a HDD120 owner. It works very well, no problems so far.
Don't be put off by the name - he has called the program "Herbert"! It is available herePeople are more important than things0 -
You do have to use the supplied software, or an alternative, rather than just drag and drop, but I can live with it for the price. It's actually not too bad once you get used to it.0

Yes, you do have to use the software and for some reason I can't get mine to recognise downloaded files - I seem to have to burn to CD then copy from CD back to hard drive then onto machine!! :mad:0

I have tried Herbert and am going back to the original software. I like the design as it is so much better but it seems to keep losing albums and also not keeping track order0

Found this on the Philips Support Website. This is a common problem with mp3 players that use their own software to transfer the music.Question I cannot playback some of my music tracks.
Answer
hdd/GoGear can only play MP3/WMA files transferred through the Digital Media Manager DMM, hdd/GoGear will not be able to play audio files that are not of these formats.
The music tracks that you cannot play could be copy protected under Digital Right Management (DRM), some music files purchased via the internet are copy protected. Please contact your content provider for assistance.
Some music purchased from the online music store may only play back with SDMI compliant portable device. Your hdd/GoGear is not SDMI compliant and can not support the playback of those music.
