Hello,
I wonder if anyone could recommend a decent face cream?
I was happily using the Siena day cream from Aldi but after three weeks my skin had a massive reaction.
I spoke to a beautician who said I might be allergic to Q10, which is in that product.
Basically I am 29 with combo, very sensitive skin, no wrinkles as yet and often a shiney nose!
I am thinking of going back to Weleda as a night cream as always found their stuff dead good.
I love Liz Earle stuff as well, so might give that a try.
Oh and heard good things about Dermalogica.
So if anyone can tell me whether these products are worth going on my bathroom shelf or recommend something else, I'm all ears!

Hi I have been using bio oil at night time and find it brilliant. I thought that it was only for scars and stretchmarks but after reading the bottle I realised that you can use it for your face.
You only need to use a small amount so it lasts for ages.0 -
I use dermalogica - it' pricey, but a little goes a long way. A lovely MSEr told me about the 'jersey beauty company' that's online. It's deffo the cheapest online place to buy. She also tipped me off to order all items individually as you get free samples and postage is included. I LOVE MSErs!!! I bought an excellent dermalogica cleansing cloth from there too which is gentle on sensitive skin.
Save me from spending...

I second bio iol for night, too shiny for mornings tho. Aldi cream also has vit. E in, which my skin doesn't like.
I like Olay's creams for sensitive skin, reasonably cheap too.
Have you thought about emailing different firms and asking for samples, some are quite happy to send sachets out .Anytime;)0 -
Nivea Soft is a classic, and my skin is sensitive, it goes bright red if anything remotely irritating comes near it!0

Hi, I use Liz Earle Skin Repair for dry sensitive skin.. I buy mine from ebay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Liz-Earle-Skin-Repair-Moisturiser-Normal-Skin-50ml-Jar_W0QQitemZ160228241907QQihZ006QQcategoryZ21205QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262
.. and I've just noticed that her prices have gone up.. you might find the cream cheaper with another seller.
My skin has a tendency to break out/go oily/go dry without warning- and this is the only cream I have tried that manages to counteract the dry patches without making my face greaseville.
My 2nd favourite creams are made by Eucerin: Select free samples from the webpage to give it a try-

I have tried Weleda Rose cream, but it didn't do much for my skin to be honest. Liz Earle I heard about from MSE and I will stick to it!
I do however use Bnatural alternative to Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish, solely because I can't afford to buy many of her products. It works very well on my skin (I actually add a little tea tree oil to the wash to counteract spots) and Tesco are doing a 3 for 2 offer right now on the product.. so I'm stocking up!0 -
I vote for Liz Earle.
She does a light moisturiser for oily skin.
I use it & I don't have oily skin, but I like my day cream to be light & this is.0 -
Liz earle light for daytime use - cant beat it,esp if you are prone to break outs - it doesnt clog the skin.
My normal night time routine in decleor Ylang Ylang aromaessence. Really moisturisers dry skin yet calms down oily areas< this I apply to my t zone. On top of that Im using http://www.akamuti.co.uk/products/new/bestseller---replenishing-face-cream-60ml/ barely a pea amount its just so lush

My daughter has just discovered Boots Traditional skin care range, very cheap (just over £2 each I think) and lovely too. I ended up getting some for myself and can vouch for it too. We use the cold cream for cleansing, rosewater and glycerin for toning, this doesnt dry the skin out at all, unlike others we have tried, and the moisturiser afterwards. At night I use olive oil instead of cream, and my skin feels lovely in the morning. My daughter used to have dry patches on her face, which showed up under her foundation, but has none at all now, shes really pleased with the products. I think Boots still have 3 for 2 on skincare at the moment, so might be worth you having a look.0

Hi I have same type of skin and tried Liz Earl hot polish cleanser but face went very red after using it so stop. Ask for a sample or try the small travel size first so you do not waste money. Look on the Health and Beauty thread under senstive skin, I got some great tips from there and now use only natural products including oil which I thought would not suit my skin but they do.
