Gym membership...

I'm thinking of joining to get rid of the weight for summer.
How reasonable is £20 p.m. for unlimited gym, swimming and usage of their classes?
I'm thinking if I join I'm more likely to go as I've paid. On the vary rare times I've ventured up the road to its about £3.80 to go in the gym and about £2.50 for swimming.
Any thoughts?

Is that per month?
Excellent price - I very much doubt if you could find any better for an all-inclusive gym deal.Operation Get in Shape

Sounds amazing to me, I'd say go for it.
DH and I pay about £30 between us just for gym facilities without anything else beyond a few basic classes. The type of membership you're talking about would be £43 between us or £26 just for me and that's a reduced membership because my work has a corporate rate.
It does make me more likely to go if I'm not shelling out each time. And at your costs it would only take 6 visits in a month to even it out
That's assuming your £20 figure is monthly of course!
I'd also add that you should set routine times to go and stick to them, for me if I don't go first thing then I don't go at all so I make a point of going then...0 -
It is per month yes
Thanks fort those replies.
Thats a student rate.
Any more tips/advice?0 -
Yes - make sure you fully understand the terms and conditions, especially if the membership involves being tied into a contract

:rotfl:TBF it's only the local leisure centre.
Pools only 25m (and isnt too clean) and the gyms only of small to medium in size.
Were not talking David Lyod standard here.0 -
