Who will lend on a flying freehold?

Hi everyone.
I was wondering if anyone could help me - I've just been to view a house that I absolutely love...BUT most of it is built over a flying freehold. If you know what I mean.
I am currently with Barclays (formerly Woolwich) and they will only lend on a property where the flying part of the freehold constitutes 15% of the floorspace or less. In this house the vast majority of it is flying - probably 90% of it is above another property.
Does anyone know a mortgage lender who would lend on this? Or where I could get a list of specialist mortgage lenders?
I'd really appreciate your help on this - you seem to be a very knowledgable lot!

try a broker or if you can be bothered to search lender by lender then have a look here http://www.cml.org.uk/handbook/frontpage.aspx section 5.5 in part 2 is where you want to look but you will have to look lender by lender.
Just checked to see what section for you and Abbey lend on flying freeholds0 -
Worth asking the vendor who their lender is.Trying to keep it simple...0

Have you tried RBS? Abbey may, Halifax may, C&G might. A lot of it depends on your deposit size.0
