Perfume and pumpkin seeds!

I am determined to save some money and decided to try 'old style'
I HATE wasting things, whether I've bought them or been given them and there are two things I have that have been bugging me for a while.

1. I have about four bottles of perfume which I am never going to get around to using before they are so 'off' that their will smell only of fly spray. Any ideas of what I could use them for?

2. I bought a bag of roasted and salted pumpkin seeds from Netto. Trouble is they are still in their outer shell which has the texture of hard straw - not pleasant. I presume I can't give them the birds because they are salted. I would have to be a masochist to eat them myself!!

Now I'm sure some of you old timers must have some good ideas? Any suggestions?

I've got some old perfume myself, so far, the only use I've found is to squirt a bit inside my little bathroom bins when I empty them
My nan used to squirt some onto the plastic flower arrangement she had in her hallway, unfortunately, I don't have any plastic flowers. ;)
I would welcome some more ideas though.

When I worked for a well known chemist store many years ago, we used to use the perfume for cleaning the glass counters as we could never be bothered to go and find the proper stuff. Been known to do it 30 years later at home with the bedroom mirror. Perfume was nearer than glass cleaner or even vinegar!
