Help!
I have amassed a total credit card debt across three seperate cards of £21000. I want to try and move this all to one card with a 0% balance transfer. Whilst my credit rating is the best you can get my income has dropped considerably and if I were to declare it truthfully I dont think i would be accepted. Does anyone how indepth the income checks would be on me as a self employed person? Would i have to supply bank statements etc?
Anyone suggest how i may be able to do it without actually having to prove my income?
Thanks

Might be worth asking on the credit card board

I think you only have to declare the amount shown on the last years accounts, so if your business has downturned since then you may be in luck.
My partner is self-employed & when we recently applied for a 0% Mint Card we had to supply 1 utility bill in his name plus a recent bank statement or credit card statement.
The last thing you want to do though is make an outright lie as if it all goes belly-up you will get found out & I would've thought the CC company wouldn't have so much sympathy for you.
However if all the debt was transferred could you make the minimum payments?? If you can't then maybe you should be considering a DMP or something?
Hope all goes well for you.
