    Totally agree!
The last time I went up for a weekend 'on the toon' with my sis we saw this 'thing' in the Monument Metro station coming towards us, she must have easily been a size 26 with a skin tight, lycra FLESH COLOURED mini dress on, flashing her tree trunk corned beef legs at the world!
I thought the Fat Slags had literally come to life.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Personally I dont find that letting something go by without resolving it works. You might just end up brooding away and that for me would be worse.

I would have it out and then it can be dealt with and you can return to usual services.

OK I'll quote this one again, and say that I wasn't patient, and have just spent the best part of two hours on the phone going round in circles - apparently me saying 'I'm upset because you've done this and I feel it was a bit thoughtless' equals me telling him what to do and trying to control his life, and being upset about not seeing him for at least three weeks is me being dependent and suffocating...

that is why i always answer "nothing, i'm fine" when Big G asks me what's wrong. If i was to start telling him he just switches off or goes on the defensive so i think "nothing, I'm fine" is a suitable answer. Then we end up arguing about my answer being "nothing, i'm fine" and stop talking... that generally lasts as long as until he wants fed/washing done/sex...

Redsquirrel - 3 weeks is a long time though, and he should be telling you he's going to miss you, not berating you cause you know you'll miss him.

If i were you, which i'm not obviously, i would be sweetness and light when he calls but play a little hard to get hold of for the 3 weeks!

Not eating for a week would take me down to a respectable size 16...

I think I'd need to stop eating for a month to make a noticaeable difference...
Bunny!!!!!! shut up! there is no way you are anywhere near as fat as me, so stop beating yourself up!! bleeding gorgeous, i've seen pics!!

Hmm that sounds very familiar - I know he already knew that I was annoyed, and I'm absolutely useless at hiding my feelings, so it was only a matter of time before it came out. It has been nearly two weeks already, and it will be at least another one, maybe another two, before I see him. I think he does miss me as he occasionally admits it (usually when drunk), but if I bring it up then it's apparently me trying to make him feel guilty and being too dependent. I'll admit that I have been quite dependent at times but I've made such a conscious effort lately to do things independently, that it's really upset me to be accused of that :(

Anyway, I will attempt to be sweetness and light from now on, you're right it's probably the best option, am sure things will settle down

    Will stop moaning now! :o

Hi guys. well the garage have been on phone. My car lights cant be repaired. And on top of that they did a pre MOT check. Its going to be 1600 to sort it. The car is only worth a couple of hundred. I am in a mess now. Without a car i cant get to work. Itravel up to 30 miles one way. Out into the country side most times. So buses and trains are not possible. especially with the shifts i do. Am looking into hiring a car for time being. I am bloody gutted. Hey ho. My life can only get better from now on in.

    afternoon all

Lovely weather here today, and it's Friday tomorrow!

I've a feeling my course won't be happening. Before the information session, there was only 1 person booked on it (from the previous session when I was on holiday) and there were 5 of us at mine. To get on the course you have to have gone to the session and had an interview so it's not like loads of people can just book on to it.

I had a look on the system today and there are now only a total of 2 people booked on (not including me) so unless there is some kind of backlog of people waiting to go on, then it won't run due to low numbers - it starts Monday!! I haven't even been put into the class which is a bit odd as I paid nearly a week ago, maybe there are just loads of people 'stuck' somewhere being processed.

If it doesn't run, it will be a shame, but I guess it will re-start again in September and it will ease the financial situation a bit as the money to pay for it (£130) won't go out of my account.
