in Cutting tax
i have been really silly and gotten myself into uneeded debt, and had to fork out to a bliffs agency, unfortunately, i had to pay with the money for my already overdue council tax and ive passed the dead line for getting it in so they dont take me to court. it's only 80 pounds but i'm on the sick with mental illness and it's not easy to come by, is there anything i can do?

Unless you can clear the debt before the court date then the Liability Order will be obtained. You need to contact the council ASAP to sort out a payment arrangement.which will include court costs if not paid before the court date.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
