    Rocknrolla at Cineworld Nottingham.

Firstly, A WARNING !!! I don't know if any people were turned away BUT whilst I was in the queue cinema staff were asking for, checking and verifying names on the SFF tickets against customers own identification for EVERYONE in front of me and several behind that followed me in. I showed a credit card which was very closely checked given the name on the front was a little faded and hard to clearly see in the subdued lighting.
If many people were turned away with "non genuine" tickets then WELL DONE, as it was 110 seats out of the 116 in the cinema were taken (and as it happens, at least 3 of the 6 that were empty had broken backs anyway.)

As for the film, not bad but nothing really brilliant, reminiscent of Bank Job and In Bruges. Sadly not as good as either of these films which I considered to be very good and excellent respectively. Can only give 6/10

By the way, don't rush out as soon as the credits start rolling - there's more dancing

Rocknrolla at Cineworld Didsbury. Maybe 60% full at 9pm showing.

Thought it was pretty good, much better than the bank job for me (at that showing I spend most of my time checking my watch and hoping it would finish soon). Looking forward to seeing the other films in the Rocknrolla trilogy, would give it 7.5/10. Loved the scene in the lift at the end, and why were those Russians dancing around in their pants over One Two?

  • Never quite understood why you would dance over someone in there pants instead of going straight for the kill can only think Guy Ritchie wants all his actors intact for the next instalment

    Uh-oh...
While that hopefully helps stamp out the eBay sellings etc, you've got to worry for recipients of donated tickets....
I hope this is a one-off, because ticket donating would become an elaborate process if the correct name was needed...

lol no I was the one who came in about 30 seconds after it had started in a right old panic :o We'd been to the Vue cinema by the shopping centre by mistake so were late.

If you want me to wear some cow horns for Pineapple Express, I'll see what I can do ;);)
