Does anybody know why we never seem to get any free screenings for films in nottingham ?
I know our ODEON closed Years ago but we still have a Cineworld and a Showcase .
Maybe should move towards london ?
I suggest you pay more attention !
I've seen a dozen freebies at Cineworld in the last 18 months and probably over 20 at the Showcase, mostly from the MSE thread
Indeed I was at Cineworld last week and will be at the Showcase next week.
Again both of them were/are on here.

I'm not trying to defend any of the "free ticket sellers" on e-bay, but it is common on the site , that people sell free things like e-books for 99p just to cover their fees, so didn't gain any money, but it helps their ranking if the buyer left a positive feedback. Also one of the person says , he is giving away the money to charity.
I'm not sure if it was a good idea to get angry and alert ebay+Paramount, because it might result free screenings to stop, so you could be shooting yourself in the foot.
A while back many people were selling their free (thanks to MSE) Afrika! Afrika! show tickets on ebay and nobody said a word. I gave mine away free to some happy people here.
Not to say I approve this, just a thought...0 -

Just my thoughts but I have to disagree with most of what you say. These are free tickets available to all and by getting them just to sell on prevents genuine people from taking advantage of them. I would say as follows:-
I doubt any money will see its way to charity.
Reporting it shows there are responsible people out here that genuinely appreciate the organisations that offer these tickets.
Complaints were made about the Afrika Afrika tickets being sold which resulted in the shorter notice period i.e. after 2pm on the valid day and eventually only one application from an IP to prevent mass applications.

Fine. Just don't like people getting angry and agressive on this forum. And seeing lots of the screenings now sold out, it's still gives a chance to some people to get a family outing cheap. They might have not known about this offer otherwise.
That's me finished about this topic.0 -
But that's just it. Why not tell people about a free offer instead of selling the tickets to something they could have got for free themselves? Sorry, but everyone knows how to cancel free preview tickets so others can have them, it's dead easy on screenbookings, if you are selling them instead you are just exploiting people's lack of knowledge.Reclaimed thanks to this site:

Totally agree with you Beate.....
Have also reported sellers to ebay, however listings are still there.....one good thing is that there don't seem to be any genuine bidders for these tickets as yet. Would it be really wrong to bid for these tickets at over inflated prices so that the sellers fail to sell them? .....Just a thought.
Also noticed that there are Vue 2 for 1 cards listed on there (available FREE through an offer with the Sun newspaper) someone has listed one at a price of £100! Unbelievable! There are some real chancers out there!0
