Have you an idea of where you want it to go so you get a sense of what size you'll need?
    Under 42" LCD over Plasma.
Is there any other equipment you want with it i.e. Blu-ray player, DVD recorder or a surround sound?

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. The best TV by far in your budget has to be the one & only SONY BRAVIA KDL-40V3000 (1080p 24p) (40 inch LCD)

Google this set & look at AVFORUMS - has a massive fan base, people love this set

Visit comet, currys, john lewis and its £999.99

Martin Dawes do it it for £699, sound and vision Bolton for £749 both deliver too.

Ring up JL and ask them to pricematch, then youll get a 5 year warranty thrown in too.

    Look it up.

    Regards

toniq u really could do with having a 1080p (24p) LCD with a ps3, within a £1000 budget, you should have change if you shop around. Try www.pricerunner.co.uk, where you can refine your search

If you don't mind travelling to Camberley (ring before you go as this is limited stock) then I'd go for this 37" Full HD Samsung on sale for £729.99 with 5 years warranty

Then a Sony surround sound with DVD player for £199 (I have a Sony and it's fantastic)

    http://www.tec7.co.uk/Consumer+Electronics/Home+Theatre/Sony+DAV-DZ230+5.1+Theatre_DAVDZ230.CEK/740.aspx

Then you have about £70 left for whatever you want.

We got the 46V3000 paired it with a PS3 and a Sony DAVIS10 its fab... well worth the price... the worst bit was paying the £150 for the HDMI cable.

We looked at some of the cheaper systems and was advised needed a fibre optic link if running PS3 etc.. not sure if this has or not but we went with the Sony DAVis10 with really teeny speakers.... but they kick out some noise..

With the SOny tv its great and more than comparable with the projector and cinema screen that we use with a Bose Lifestyle system...
