Cheapest is not always the best for reception, I bought a cheap one for £20 from Superdrug it picks up the main station but was soon replaced by a Pure One unit which picks up some many more channels and has better sound quality, originally paid £50 for it but believe they have come down slightly.

  • I bought a Bush DAB for £50 a few years ago and thought it was ok, UNTIL I had a pure chronos for Xmas which has much better reception, but retails at about £100. Have just bought a second hand Pure Bug radio and that sounds very good too, even though it is a five year old model now. Try to listen before you buy and check where you intend to use it as not everywhere is DAB compliant, poorer coverage than Freeview.
