I dont know which section to post this in so please bear with me.
I havent been to a dentist for ages and need fillings and other work doing. Does anyone know of an insurance scheme I can join as I fear the work will be expensive.

There is a health section...unfortunately you won't get insurance until the work is all done. If you have it on the NHS they can only charge you a maximum amount for the work, so that will be the cheapest option.

Hopefully one of the Board Guides will move this to the Health thread where you will get some advice.
If you really are pretty skint, do you have a dental hospital near you? If they could sort out the "main stuff" eg fillings or extractions (so your mouth was healthy and sound) you could then get insurance to help you with any cosmetic things you need. I used our local dental hospital (attached to the university) a while ago when I was skint. You have to wait a while and you are seen by students but they are supervised, and it's free.
