My wife is on xenical (doctors prescription)she lost half a stone in one week but she is also on a calorie controlled diet and fat reduced.she has been on it for 2 weeks now and she has had no horrid side effects that you hear about but she works on the basis of what goes in must come out i.e if you have cream cakes with a fry up = big mistake while out shopping.

Hope this helps but everyone is different. It is also not the easy way out because you still have to rest temtation!!

I've just finished my first week on Proactol. It definately doesn't have the same side effects as Alli!!!:jI have been following the Alli eating plan as a guide though. I don't feel as hungry and have even had a bit more energy :rotfl:! i have lost 6 pounds this week :T I don't know if I would have lost that without Alli but what I can say is I did eat out twice and have enjoyed the eating plan and have felt great and not hungry. I'm gonna keep on taking them and see what happens.

Just wanted to give a warning about Proactol - here is my dispute with them to try to get my money back:

I ordered this and have complained via email but have not received a reply from you. I am so disappointed with the product - I used it religously for two weeks exactly as directed. All that happened was that my stomach became very swollen and I actually put on 6lbs. I am not hugely overweight and wanted to use it for 2 months to drop a stone, everything I read sounded hugely positive about the product. It just bunged me up for badly that 2 days after stopping taking it, I had almost diorreah constantly for the next 4 days, it felt like everything I'd eaten over the past 2 weeks was flooding out of me. I would like to return the product for a refund as it may be good for some people but it was disastrous for me - I am worried it may have caused me some long-term damage.
Proactol refused your request for a $106.00 USD refund.
