Can Anyone Advise Me Setting Up My Own Business

Hi, I am currently setting up my own business from home, I am a Virtual Assistant providing secretarial services, I would really appreciate some help from any professional people out there who might be able to advise me exactly who to target.
I have trawled the internet for ideas but there seems to be a lot of pay us and we will divulge information websites, not to keen on that.
I charge by the hour so it is ideal for anyone who doesnt want to commit to full/part time wages but only for a service. I really want my business to get a good start so am looking for valuable help that I know is out there for me!!

In the current climate i'd target recently retired, or sacked executives. Ex civil servants, ex-mp's basically anybody who has had the use of a secretary in the past, and does not have one any longer.
It's no good targeting people who run their own small businesses, as they basically have to be workaholic control freaks, so they' ll do all their own admin, till they get big enough to employ someone full time.
But senior people in medium to large businesses or organisations get secretaries, and PA's as part of their jobs. Most of these guy's can't even turn on a computer.
They also tend to be careful with their cash, espcially if they just had the old tin tack, so employing someone full time is a non starter.
I'd talk to some out-placement and recruitment firms - so they can pass your details on - and would be helping them as well -
You should put some stuff together about CV's, helping with the recruitment proces, and all that happy stuff, so genning up on that would be a plan. Keep you eye on the papers, put adverts up in golf clubs, and rotary clubs.
As the recssion bites more and more of these senior guys are gonna be out on there ears. You could be their guardian angel.
