Any tips on how to stop biting nails ?

I was going to suggest looking after them by manicuring them and painting them but noticed you where a bloke. lol I used to bite my nails all the time but recently I have really started looking after them and when I paint them I dont want to ruin them so I keep them away from my mouth so they look good for longer!
My Bf also bites his nails and I have started filing them for him so there are no jagged bits and nothing to chew, seems to be working so far.0
