O2 £100 on Quidco-valid on iphones

Quidco have just upped the payout on O2 contract phones to £100 from £35.
I contacted them this morning to see if this includes iphones and they have replied 'thank you for your enquiry. This includes iPhone contracts. Kind regards Richard Quidco Member Support Team'.
The blurb on the O2 Quidco site only mentions the £35 for the iphone, but that hasnt been changed in line with the new offer.
Obvioulsy this is a big risk unless you intend to get an iphone anyway, in which case it will definitely be worth the gamble.
I am just sad that I bought mine 8 days ago
if only I had been a bit more patient.....

Seems there is a return process for the iPhone, so if it's isn't £100, i'll send it back.
I don't suppose I have to take up the 18th month contract, but still buy the 16gb version for £329 and the £100 quidco ? If so, wow, what a deal !

yeah you'll have to get the contract, you can't just get an iphone?0

You also have to be on at least £35 a month contract....Undefeated Wii Fit ski jump champion!

Yes, you need to sign up for a contract, which you do at home, via itunes. Cheapest contract is £35/month for approx 600 mins/500 texts/unlimited web access (from memory)“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0

what if I never sign up for the contract via itunes, what then ?0

@ Kraven...
Unless things have changed since a month back, you don't have to sign up to the contract.... just jailbreak the phone and then you are never forced to take out the contract!!!!0 -
Exactly what I was hoping. Let's just hope the £100 comes off, then I would have saved a few pounds over getting one from ebay!
Thanks0 -
the phones features (include ipod) are only officialy unlocked when part of the O2 contract
there are ways of doing it yourself but just worth remembering that your iphone will no longer be able to receive updates when unlocked and 'tampered' with and i think the warranty is void too
personally i think it's shocking. if you've paid for it then you should be able to do what you want with it. unfortunately that's Apple for ya!0 -
For me, not really an issue. When buying anything like this, it's always about what is it going to be worth when i'm bored with it. If it all works out at £229 for the 16gb version, then i'm sure I won't be out of pocket. I don't actually want the phone part, as I think not having a keypad is a major negative, I just want to use it for watching films and playing music on long trips! and being able to use the web browser, etc.... is just a major bonus. I could have gone for an itouch, but the iphone just gives me more chance of not losing out when I sell.
At £229, I don't think i'll loose money on it.
