Photo Album

As a wedding gift me & my fella did my sisters wedding photos (he took them I'm doing the album)

Having not seen a weeding album for years I'm not sure about contents. The wedding itself was very relaxed and I want that to come across in the album, but I also want the traditional photos in there. Is there any order the photos should go in? (We got all the usual photos afterwards, bride & groom, parents, extended families etc)

I'm currently thinking along the lines of a storybook type thing that starts with getting ready, then ceremony, then reception.

THanks for any advice and suggestions

Yeah the story is a good idea.

Such as a picture of you getting ready, then a picture of him getting ready, then a picture of you en-route, then a picture of him en-route and so on.

Also, you could have little captions to accompany pictures.

thats the kind of thing I had in mind, just didn't want it to appear too casual. But if someone else likes the idea too I'm obviously not too far off the mark!!
  • JUST POSTED THE FOLLWING IN ANOTHER THREAD!
If you get friends to do the photos you can create a great album online at http://www.kodakgallery.co.uk/PhotoBookOverview.jsp
prices from £39.99 for their large photo books.
you can add photos, captions, and text pages, and it all comes back printed like a real book!
    I can recommend the quality

not much...it's not 'traditional' album, but I can always tell her, just looked at the site and the mini books would make nice parents, grandparents gifts

  • We got married on Easter Saturday and a friend (who did photography at Uni) took relaxed shots throughout the day. He's had 15 5" x 7" prints done for us and downloaded the others (over 200!) to our computer. We have had another 30 or so 6" x 4" prints done (from the remainder and other peoples' shots) and have bought a handmade photo album (bargain found in sale) to mount them in. We're thinking of mounting them in chronological order with captions, to make a slightly different version of the storybook idea. We used an online processing service (which gave us 20 free prints for signing up) so the cost of all this has been minimal. HTH.
