    Hi
I looked on the woolworths site and the cheapest 12ft trampoline with enclosure is £150 did you use a discount code to get it at £109 as i would love one this size for my children
    Thanks
You need to add both the trampoline in the basket and enclosure and should come up as £109.00, see example of my my basket , but here is the link to trampoline 13589360.jpg and enclosure13589356.jpg Hope links work. Offer finishes today or tomorrow though ( I think)
This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

  • I've come across this 10ft one and with a max weight of nearly 150% above the Woolworths one (148kg - 16st), it would seem to be a sturdier model.

10ft Trampoline with FREE Safety Enclosure, Ladder & Weather Cover

    RRP: £266.00

    Our Price: £169.95

It includes free delivery as well.

The drawbacks for me so far are....what kind of make is this. The same site seems to also sell well known makes but I can't find out about this make anywhere else.

The second is the site itself. How reliable and straight is it? I must admit the many spelling mistakes put me off a bit. Is there a way of establishing how long it's been around and if there have been any problems with it?

I'd be grateful for any feedback

hmmmm well 16 stone is only 101kg not 148 so I'd be wary of them claims as one of them is a typo and its most likely the 148. In comparison the TJ Hughes one is 200lbs which is a little over 14stone, tho to be honest I'd expect a fair bit more weight on them to be supported anyways. But the mysmartbuy one does say 148kg also so maybe it is the latter. 200lb is def too low anyways, hell I'm more than that by myself and at sisters house had myself and 4 kids bouncing up and down on their big 12footer
  • Great point! And one I can't believe I didn't conduct a simple check on.

I added the stones figure in as an afterthought, but it wasn't a typo on my part... taken directly from the site it says...
This circular trampoline is suitable for all the Family (+3 Years). The product has a maximum user weight of 148kg (16 Stone)

Now this may be a simple error on their part, but as I mentioned, in addition to all the spelling mistakes, I'm taking the overall view that the site is not one to be trusted.

I looked at the smartbuy one mentioned earlier in the thread as well. It says it has an EN:71 safety mark. But I can't find anywhere that says EN:71 is a safety mark relevant to the safety of a trampoline.

  • Seems to be a lot of reasons, as already stated by others on this thread, to tread warily when buy trampolines.

At the moment I can see just what I want for a great looking prices (10 ft with additional items for £150) at trampolinesworld.co.uk.

But, encouraged by Chameleon's response earlier, I have looked up the domain and saw this....

Strikes me that anyone selling trampolines online should be regarded as a trading individual!!!

Also it is again a recent set up selling a brand of trampolines with the word Bounce in it (this time ibounce) which I've not otherwise heard of.

Could be legit, but smells to be like a scam. I think I'm going off the idea of looking for a cheap trampoline...certainly from similarly called sites anyway
  • Ok...Regarding trampolinesworld.co.uk I have the bit between my teeth now!

    On the page http://www.trampolinesworld.co.uk/x/page.php?page=testimonials

    You can read..

We consider all our customers as very important people who deserve the very best – and we like to hear what you think. Here is a selection of our valued customers' feedback which serves as a testament to the quality of products and services WorldStores provide

    Two example of what follows.....

    S. Milligan, Portrush
"Thank you very much for your excellent service, it has been a pleasure doing business with your company. I will surely recommend you to my friends and the people at the office."
    R. Remie, Delft

So I bunged in the first name to google and this is what I got....

Garden Furniture World - The UK’s No. 1 Garden Furniture Store

    S. Milligan, Portrush. "Thank you very much for your excellent service, it has been a pleasure doing business with your company. I will surely recommend you ...

Now these all purport to be "worldstores" companies but go into the first site listed and you'll read it like these are people who have bought the actual product that you as an intending customer are interested in, rather than one of the whole range of products that all the "Worldstores" sites offers.

Go into the gardenworld site and you will find this....

What customers say:Many thanks order arrived this morning, very prompt delivery, well packaged, both items brilliant, will use your company again and will recommend. Thanks again."

    R. Remie, Delft

"I would just like to thank you for a wonderful service, having ordered yesterday morning I wasn't expecting the product for at least 3-5 days but it arrived this morning."
    B. Byford, Elmswell

    I smell a scam!

    Well done Sunday Morning!!! :T :T :T :D

There are many of these rogue sites around and at least one or two a week seem to pop up on the UGG boots thread, usually posted by the owners of the sites thinking we will rush off to buy their non-existant/fake goods on their say so :rotfl: :rotfl: - mind you what is terribly sad is that some people are actually fooled in this way :(

The people that set up these sites appear to fall into two camps -1) those that trade illicit and counterfeit goods at markets and car boots that have been stopped by market inspectors, and 2) those out to make a fast buck by claiming to sell whatever line is most popular (i.e. UGG boots, swimming pools now summer approaches etc) but the stock is non-existant and they just pocket everyone's money and dump the site a few months down the road.

Perhaps this is a timely reminder to any folks reading - :money: NEVER, EVER, EVER :money: buy from an unknown website without first checking that it is actually a legitimate site! If you're not sure how to check then ask on the forum as someone will always help out and check it for you :D

Netto are selling them for £79.99 including enclosure and rain cover from 17th April

We bought one from Argos a few weeks ago when on offer with free enclosure and it is very well built and very sturdy. I wouldn't allow my kids on anything else!

    Have Fun Bouncing!
Thanks for that, i passed my local Netto today (30th April) and picked one up - what a bargain
