Was looking for carpet cleaner when I found this !!

For £79.99, don`t think its a bad deal !

    i'd be interested to read some reviews on this, i'm after a carpet cleaner and the VAX for £49.99 @ TJ hughes looks good as well...

    I have the vacuum cleaner and the good points are:
    light so you can see easier (or if you're vacuuming in the dark?)
    large surface area as the 'head' is quite large
    relatively easy to empty
    and washable filter

    the downsides are:
    is a bit noisier than other vacuums
    and I find it can get clogged easily
    is fiddly to unblock as there is a tube that goes underneath the vacuum

    Otherwise a good vacuum for light cleaner and as part of a package like that you can't really complain.

    If the carpet washer has static rather than rotating brush/scrubbers (one for a better word) id leave it there. I had a Bissell carpet washer with the static brush heads and to be honest it made washing my carpet hard work because I had to wash the carpet twice, wash performance wasn't good!

    Get something with rotating wash brushes, they are light years better!

    thats good advice, does anyone know if the above VAX carpet cleaner has rotating brushes?

    There was a thread in September last year, http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=548261 as you will see by my post @ #3 i purchased the same pack from B&Q for a tenner less.
    The cylinder vacuum never really got going, and was given away on Freecycle - very naff.
    The upright vacuum is still going strong - the handle feels a little fragile, but it's not, you get used to it.
    The carpet washer - well we got new laminate flooring and have since sold it for £60. :o
