hello first post here, just wondered if anyone here knows anything about this that i just came across:
http://www.taxrebateservices.co.uk/child_tax_allowance.html
Does anyone know how i can find about how to claim without using one of these rebate companys that take 30% fee ?
Thanks
Many thousands have omitted to claim a tax allowance in the 2002 / 2003 tax year. This is an allowance that no longer exists and is NOT the Child Tax Credit. If you have not claimed this tax allowance you may be entitled to a tax rebate - our no rebate no fee service can potentially help further.
Important: Claims must be submitted by the 31st January 2009 deadline.
You are eligible to claim if you:Notes:
- Had a child born between 6th April 1986 to 5th April 2003.
- The child lived with you for part of either the 2002 and 2003 years.
- You worked and paid tax in part or all of the period from April 2001 to March 2003.
- Your marital status does not affect a claim. You may be eligible if you were married, living with partner or single claimant.
- If your tax code was in the six or seven hundreds in the 2002 and 2003 tax years the allowance has been claimed
- You or your partner had to earn over £6000 in either the 2002 or 2003 tax years.
- The allowance does not affect any current child tax credit or WFTC claim.

Phone your tax office and ask them.0

I stumbled across "The Entitlements Agency" website the other day and they charge £94 regardless of your rebate, however like you I am reluctant to give anyone money that belongs to me and my family! Post a new thread if you get anywhere with the tax office,0

it's quite easy to do. jus write to your local tax office giving your national insurance number and details of why you feel you were entitled to childrens tax allowence in your tax code.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

I was not advertising anything! I have not been able to access the internet since posting and have just had chance to check back on this post now.
Thanks to all those who replied with useful answers. I will give the tax office a call0
