Self employed - what happens next ?!

in Cutting tax
I was advised last year that i needed to be registered as self employed as i buy to sell online (used books) which i did but im unsure what happens now the year is up ,

Will they contact me ?
I know I am under £4k in profit, ive looked on-line but couldnt find any answers and just got myself worked up

You'll get a tax return in the post in the next couple of weeks, fill it in and send it back and that's it
If I remember correctly, you'll get the long version as it's your first year. If your turnover is less than £15,000, you'll get the short version every year after that.
You'll look at the long version and go :eek: (well I did anyway lol) but then realise that most of it doesn't apply to youBulletproof0 -

If you register to do your return online, it will be a lot easier for you as it will only show you questions that are relevant to your return once you start answering questions. You will probably find this a lot easier then bogging yourself down with pages upon pages of irrelevant questions to your business. Kindest regards0
