Best value-for-money espresso maker?

I've just returned for a short trip visiting relatives in Italy.
I'd forgotten how lovely a traditional small shot of espresso can be!
So much nicer than a home-made mocha that we'd previously put up with.

So....I'm now keen to splash out on an espresso maker!

I'm no expert (until just a few years ago, I didn't even realise the difference between a true espresso, and a mocha, made from a stove-top maker - but I do now!)

I 'know' the best machines will be out of my reach and cost many hundreds of pounds.
I'm hoping to be able to get one for around £100, though may be able to push out a little more if absolutely necessary.

Any advice would be gratefully received....

Cheers,
Don
