Question for Gaggia ice ream maker owners

My question is do you know who repairs them? I bought a second hand one off ebay from Italy, the freezer works great, the paddle churned for about 1 minute before it stopped and has not started since.
I did leave it for the 12 hours you are supossed to let it sit for and was so excited when I was finally able to make my first batch of ice cream. Because of the postage to Italy I would like to see if I can just get it fixed. Has anybody else had this problem?
I think maybe it's broken because I went and bought it without telling my husband when he has already said there is no more room for new kitchen gadgets!
