Tax On 8hr A Week Job Advise Needed

This is the situation, my niece recently changed jobs, but her former employer did not want to lose her service and asked her to be working 8hrs a week, which she agreed and still doing at the moment.

My dilemma is that her new job the tax code is 522L, also her old job which is now (8hrs a week) the tax code is still 522L.
I understand that the threshold for NI contribution is £100 and above which obviously she is not earning on 8hr a week job, so not paying NI, but I don’t understand about the tax implication as she is not being taxed on this 8hr job at the moment.

Does she need to ask her employer to give her any type of tax form to fill regarding this or is it alright to carry on.

I assume her earnings at the new job are enough to make her liable to tax - if so she should be paying basic rate (20% for this tax year) at her now part time job. She should notify whoever does the payroll at the part time job to put her on a BR code. Every week that goes by with two sets of tax allowances will increase the amount of tax she will end up owing.

Thanks for your prompt reply, i believe i'm correct that she won't be contributing NI on the part time job.
    Cheers.
