I have not joined any of these sites, but from what I have found out about them I think they take your money and then you have to spend all day typing out and submitting free ads to try and get other people to join. When those people pay the fee, then you get paid. All the ones I have heard of are running this type of scheme. These adverts are misleading people into thinking they offer real work online. I don't call that work, it's just another way to get your money.
I love finding more ways of making money that cost me little or nothing

Yet another variation of the infamous pyramid scheme - best avoided.

Theres a data entry section on http://www.getafreelancer.com/

The problem is with trying to find work like this online is you'll be competing with people looking for work from much poorer countries, so the work will go cheap.

It depends on what your looking to get paid, you'll just have to browse it and see what sort of rates you can get paid for which type of job.

I use this site for outsourcing some aspects of my online business because it's a cheap way of doing it. Depending on the work I'll end up paying people around £2 to maybe £5 an hour.

Try contacting local companies direct and see if they have any work going, or will keep your details in case something comes up.

I got some data entry work from a local factory. I met the factory owner at a social event, and then when he said he was looking for a decent temp agency or something to do some data entry, I said I would do it.
Here I go again on my own....

Hello everyone... I have been away for a long weekend and have a backlog of PMs that I am working through. Should have replies sent to everyone that sent well-written requests ( ;) ) within the next hour.

  • Hmmm I was wondering about looking for 'typing from home' kind of jobs. I am an ex Royal Air Force typist and recently left my job as a legal secretary, to work part time for the Citizens Advice Bureau, but I'm finding all my free time a little unproductive! If anyone knows where I could find out about typing from home jobs, it would be much appreciated.
