    NACRO have already been mentioned as the best people to help you with 'disclosing' your conviction without damaging your employment prospects more than you have to.

    But I think you're being unduly pessimistic about never being able to work with children again. There are SOME convictions which bring an automatic bar, but AFAIK this ain't one of them.
