Hall wanted in west london
I'm looking for a hall to have a wedding reception in west london.
In preferably the Southall, Hayes, Greenford, Ealing, Hounslow or
Hanwell area.
The hall must seat 200 people and take at least 300 standing.
So far the halls I've found are £100 p/h so anything cheaper than that.
I need a hall where I can bring my own drinks and caterers and not have
to use the venues.

Have you tried Ealing Town Hall or Greenford hall? Both of these offer halls for hire. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

I tried both and there larger hall in £167.50 per hour and double after 11.00
I can't afford that.0 -
My OH works in a hotel doing bookings for events. She said that because you want to supply your own food and drink, it will make the price of the hall hire more expensive. It's similar to paying corkage.
I grew up in Ealing, and some of my family still live there. I'll give mum a ring later to see if she has any other ideas. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Northolt High School hire out their school hall which will easily hold the numbers you are talking about. In addition the refectory (canteen) is next to the hall and can also be hired for eating etc. Is often used for large Asian weddings where they do their own catering, etc.
I cannot recall the cost but am sure is nothing like the prices you quote. Also there is plenty of parking in the playground.
The school is on holiday but the office should be open so call 020 8864 8544 and ask for a quote.
In case you are not sure where the school is, it is less than a mile north of the Target Roundabout on the A40 (junction with A312) and approx 250 metres fron Northolt Underground station. It is on Eastcote Lane just past the swimming baths.
