Or...another way of looking at it...

the creditors would really like you to secure their debts so they can definitely get a good share of what they're owed...don't make it easy for them.

Hi again...as well as the expenditure details etc an important thing is the limits on your cards, minimum payments and the APRs.

My hunch is that the good folks on here will be able to save a good few quid from your outgoings and this could make all the difference...let us know more when you can.

  • I have read a few of the threads that people have posted on here around the CCCS and I feel a bit iffy about going with them if that route is taken......................... there seems to be a lot of different feeling about them.
I am only paying £80 a month towards my £50K debt and feel twitchy as to the action my creditors will take.
Call to the CCCS first thing in the morning I think.
  • can it get any worse........... it looks like the re-mortgage is was going through with for my main mortgage has fallen through. (thanks to the lovely valuer). The money I was going to save was going to open the door to all the other thinks I need to do. The good thing is that I still have the door to the CCCS open. It would have been so much easier with the extra £250 per month for 2 years to play around with.

Dont want to sound harsh but if youve no equity in your property and a lot of unsecured debt too, have you consdered bankruptcy?

Wasnt clear from what ive read if your managing to make the payments ok for the secured debts, are you?

    could you post a SOA
  • i tried to post my SOA last night but it wouldn't take.

All my secured debt is up to date and in no arrears(only good thing really)

Bankruptcy is not an option as I will loose my job and cannot go down that road.

Its a difficult situation, sorry I cant give more practical or useful advice.
on the positive side your upto date with all priorites, which is, as you say a good thing, so aslong as you keep up creditors informed and make some payment however small it may seem in the scheme of things there is little they will do.

guess you could focus on maximising income not really something I have many ideas on , beyond e.g. claiming tax credits? or taking in a lodger?.

    Good luck to you
  • Just to throw a curve ball in,

I am £150 short of being able to qualify for an IVA. The 3rd charge is going further from my mind really as I will be in the same situation in 12 months time. The DM plan will take me 60 years to pay off my debt but is an IVA a better option????????
