Farm food!

Just located a small farm to buy in season fruit from, its been there for years but i thought it was connected with one virtually next door to it which is quite frankly rubbish! I bought two big bags of apples and a bag of plums for £3 and they are fresh and gorgeous!
OH asked what type of apples they were as they were so nice so I told him bagof - it was a fair while before penny dropped! Well I didn't know what they were!
I'm pleased to have located this place as I'm trying to get away from deep chilled supermarket fruit and veg so thats a start and they are being eaten much quicker as they are so nice, so perhaps nopt saving money but enjoying it more!

We often buy apples from our local fruit farm and they are so much nicer than the ones available in the supermarkets and cheaper too! We can also rent a tree from them and get loads of apples that way.Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Sounds lovely! I've been given some from my boyfriend's landlady's tree. They're a bit sharp, so may end up as applesauce, but I think the later ones will be sweeter. There's also a bramley tree in the garden at the end of the road, and they often put a basket of them outside for passers-by. I take a few from time to time to make sauce. And at work, we are lucky enough to have a walled garden full of old apple trees. If I don't take them, they tend to just rot on the floor! So I stock up in September. They keep me in eating apples for weeks, and sauce for months! Yum! You can't beat apples fresh from the tree.0
