All packed up - My new life awaits!!

Evening all,

After getting the keys yesterday afternoon, Im all packed up and I (we) are moving tomorrow.:j

Looking forward to getting settled in, Im going BR at some point in May, once I am in and have everything set up, I called BT, I was told I had to give them a £50 deposit (due to credit check) not happy with that but had to pay it anyway, I need the phone line so what could I do?

The letting agency is informing the utility companies so fingers crossed they should be ok.

Busy day....I had no idea I had so much stuff!!!! good thing is I have loads to do a boot sale, every little helps!!!

A brand new start, roll on tomorrow!!

    Hi CMD :),

Tremendous news cmd, enjoy the start of the fresh-startness :D tomorrow.

Feeling your positive vibes from here, great stuff :j. I'm off to watch a film so logging off now...

But all the best for tomorrow, let us all know how it went/goes (if your internets piped in tomorrow).

    Cheers :D
  • All the best for tomorrow:j

Its a stressful time but in the long run i'm sure it will all be worth it
The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(
  • Hi,
Just wanted to wish you good luck in your new home.
    All the best.

Hope the move goes well. :)

Make sure you tape your boxes up properly, covering any possible openings. My friend put some boxes into storage for two weeks when she moved out of one property & the new one wasn't ready in time for her to move straight into it. When she eventually got round to opening the boxes, she found a dead mouse in one of them - she screamed herself silly. Not that I'm trying to worry you or anything.... :D

    Thankyou,

WDIAG, Thanks!!! I will look out for the mice. saying that, nothing has been in the boxes long enough, Jess unpacks about 20 seconds after i have packed!! most has been done in the evenings once she is in bed, I allowed her to 'help'
Ive tried to include her as much as possible with moving, yes she is only 18 months but this has been her house from day one so it will also be a big change for her too.

I call the new house 'our happy home' and when I took her round yesterday after I got the keys I left a little present (just a dora book, £1 from tesco) on the step as we walk in, just to give her positive and happy 1st impression! seemed to work, she loved running about so that made me feel great.

so its all good, no point dwelling, There is SO much more to life than money!

    Onwards and upwards
