can you use a breeadmaker on top to a freezer if only mixing?

the title says it all

i'm running out of usable countertop and if i want to use my slow cooker today (which i do) i need to position the breadmaker on top of the freezer, but as it's only for mixing do you think it'll be ok? as it won't be getting bake-hot.

the outside of my breadmaker stays cool - does yours get noticably hot?

Fridges and freezers chuck out loads of heat themselves of course..
  • i've not noticed(probably not) but then i've only "borrowed" it from my mum till i can get my own or she forgets to ask for it back ;)

  • i would use mine on the freezer top if your worried try putting an air gap say a chopping board either side for it to stand on so that there is a little gap in the middle

I am in agreement with AngelRaeSunshine - I would use it in this position, but create an air gap underneath if you are worried.

    enjoy your bread!
  • thank you! it's mixing away happily now
