HI THERE MONEYSAVERS,
I am eagerly awaiting the starting date of my new job, i will be trainign to be a chartered accountant. As i am still a young lad i am somewhat limited financially as to the amunt i can spend ona suit. I would however like a nice tailoed suit, but these can cost many £1000s.
Can anyone tell me where i can get a nicely tailored suit, very inexpensively, and online? Successes, failures, good websites etc.
thanks to all

That's true, try TKMaxx. If you're lucky they'll have a decent suit in your size.
Alternatively, my OH ordered a suit from My Custom Tailor. I think it came to about £300 but he got a few extras with that (shirt, ticket pocket, funny sleeves). It was a faff taking all the measurements and I would recommend getting a UK tailor to take the measurements for you and send these off. Otherwise double check them the check again. When the suit turned up (after about 3 weeks) it wasn't right so he contacted them to explain why. It was sent back, fixed and returned within a couple of weeks.
All in all the suit is fantastic and really well made. It took a while to turn up but was well worth it. The communication from My Custom Tailor was good all along (they email you to let you know what stage the suit is at). But, if I'm being completely honest it looks just as good as his Daniel Hechter suit from TKMaxx (OH doesn't agree).
Hope that helpsProud to be a Clob Clubber :beer:0 -
If you go to your local Slaters store, they have a tailor who will take your measurements and alter any of the suits on sale free of charge. My OH often buys suits and has the jacket "taken in" to give a more italian look, or has the leg length altered.
They sell cheap sub £50 suits and "premium brands" at discount prices.
