Refund of interest charges on loan - why?

Evening all!!
A quick question - I have three loans with Barclays Bank and have been paying them on my DMP since I started in October. They have been charging me interest on the loans since the start so my balances have in fact been rising. I just checked my online banking and see that on one of the loans (at the moment) I have been refunded the full amount of the interest which they have charged me from the start of my DMP last year. I will need to check my other two on Monday and see if they have done the same with these but I was wondering why have they done this??
Any ideas pls ?? Thanks
