I just bought a tv very similar to the one you are discribing from Argos and the internet described it as having freeview but it didn't. Also the tv was HD and the internet said it wasn't, (not that I was bothered about having HD) so I took it back and got a refund. So in my opinion this tv your talking about hasn't got freeview.Charlton_King wrote: »Can anyone confirm from their reading of this that Freeview is included?

I bought this tv - managed to track one down (only 1 of eight stores I have within 30 miles had one).
It has freeview - it also has an analogue tuner (I had assumed DTV only). As to TV it is widescreen but not TRUE widescreen (its 16:10 as opposed to 16:9) but if the slight stretching bothers you you can change the aspect display by the remote.
Got mine for the bedroom. The picture is clear - though I suppose if you look up really close to it you might get a bit picky, and loud enough in a small room that my volume is always on low. The contrast is stated as 250:1 which is mediocre (many decent TV/monitors have a min of 500:1 and Samsung etc often now have 1000:1), but I'd have to put the two TV's together to notice as it seems okay.
Its great as a 19" LCD with freeview for £130, but don't expect it to perform like a £300 Samsung. TV is responsive, clear, loud, and DVD's play fine on it. Not used it as a PC monitor, so can't comment on that.0 -
Thanks to all who responded. Just waiting for a Sony to be offered at this price and then all will be peachy...0
