I'm sure I know what it is, with the coy hints about there being lots of benefits involved.

Find out the LHA. Then find people who "need" enough bedrooms according to the system to max out your house.

The tricky bit is his "secret" about how to get the money straight to you, as LHA is normally paid to the tenant. I reckon it's about (a) conning the council that they are "vulnerable" and getting the rent directly, (b) only letting to tenants who are actually vulnerable, and (c) if the above two fail, opening a special bank account for the tenant, and getting the money paid straight out agin by SO to the LL.

    Cheeky f*cker.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Yes, it rather looks like he's just woken up to ways to exploit the LHA rules. So much for him being a property guru. I heard of someone exploiting the LHA rules in Blackpool when it was a trial area (which was when? 4 years ago?).
I wonder how he will feel when either the tenant runs off with £2844 (8 weeks rent) or the LA decide that the tenant no longer qualifies and he has a tenant with a tenancy agreement for £1400 pcm and a LHA of £300 pcm.
I also am not impressed with people who say "Rents are rapidly increasing, prospective first time buyers are renting, EU immigrants are flooding in housing is in short supply. " Rents aren't "rapidly increasing", first time buyers are renting or living with parents anyway and always were, and EU immigrants aren't likely to be "vulnerable" LHA claimants, so how does this help?
    A house isn't a home without a cat.
Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.
It's a recession when your neighbour loses his job; it's a depression when you lose yours.
