When to exchange $ for £

I have now got enough points in globaltestmarket to make a claim. However, I wonder whether the $ is likely to get stronger or weaker against the £ and whether to wait a while.
PS: I know that you don't have a crystal ball but I am sure there is someone out there with a better understanding of the trends - I know nothing in this area.

No one can predict what will happen in the FEX markets. Your guess is as good as anyone elses xGone ... or have I?0

It's expected in general that the US Dollar will fall for a while but that eventualy the Pound will start to fall faster. $1.40 per Pound is a number I've seen a fair bit as the "natural" exchange rate between the two currencies but no telling when it'll get there. Assuming that there is no deep US recession around the end of the year looks like a fair time for things to change: UK interest rates will probably have dropped and US may be starting to increase again.
Now is a pretty good time to be buying US Dollars. It's probably a bad time to be selling them.
