Our boys love Minehead ! have been twice before

and going again May & Oct half terms this yr ! and now another 3 night break in Aug !

not been to skegness, but we prefer M.head to Bognor :)

I've looked at the reviews for Minehead and they are quite good, there seem to be some negative comments about the accom - what do you think about it - do you stay in standard or do you upgrade?

oh dear, im now slightly concerned about pontins brean sands - anyone got anything nice to say about the place? we are going with a 3 and a 4 yr old, is it suitable for their age group?also ive seen people mentioning centre parcs - was this included in the sun offer too?

    Have you already booked it?

I felt the same as you when we went on a Sun hol at Easter. I had heard a lot of bad things about the accom in particular so I upgraded and the accom was really great - clean, tidy, but was a bit "compact".

To be honest it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Kids entertainment isn't anywhere near the standard you get at Butlins but for a 3 and 4 year old there is a captain crocs play area (not very big), the pool was a bit on the cool side but was a decent size and clean.

We went mainly because we like that area and used the place as a base. We went out during the day, every day and just had a couple of drinks in the bar at night.

Feel free to ask if you want to know anything else

hi has anyone been to butlins bonger or minehead lately, thinkin of going with the sun holidays but heard a few nightmare stories bout accomadation in the past, if im in the wrong place can someone move me ta thanks .sorry i am new x

    HI,

we have been there twice now & going again 2 more times this year. We really liked it there but do have to say it is more suited to families with younger children as that seemed to be the main focus there. Unfortunately the worth seeing adult themed entertainment each night didn't start until after 10pm so we didn't see any of it due to older relative, that was really my only critisism that it should have started earlier.
We upgraded to silver & on the last trip added another apartment for relatives which was meant to be standard as that was all we paid for. We asked if we could be close together as poss & ended up with 2 silver apartments which was a bonus as these apartments are lovely.

Anyway I hope this info helps a bit :o

Thanks - much the same as us, will probably upgrade if I get the option.

    Am looking forward to it.
