is there a calculator anywhere to say what i should have paid??

    Just checked this out, it's pretty decent but the only downfall is it doesn't take into account pension contributions. Still a handy guide though.
    £12,550 by September 2011? £12,550 to go :p

    If company pension contributions then just deduct these from your gross pay and use the adjusted figure as your gross pay.
