Whole loaf of bread needs using up - help

breadcrumbs, melba toast, stuffing if you having a roast, herb crust for fish? You can fry bread crumbs in oil/butter and garlic and herbs and serve over pasta instead of parmesan (I know it's a bit carb heavy!)

It should keep a few days just going stale so it will be fine to cook with. Put it in the fridge if it is not 'crusty' bread and you think it might go mouldy.

Just serve everything on toast!

tut if you only lived next door, i have to keep my freezer full of tubs of water as i dont have anything to freeze............ you know its only a bargain if you can use it!

go to Somerfield site and search for orange bread and butter pudding, fab recipe, really easy and doesn't require fancy ingredients, you could sub jam for the marmalade.

I'm surprised no-one's suggested bread pudding! It's lovely stodgy, spicy stuff, just right for autumn, although I can never make it taste as nice as the ones my dad makes...
