Also not all parks are bookable online via priority anyhow, the park I want has to be sent postal.

    Hi,
it felt great not having to spend too much :T

Just got back from Marton Mere too.

Didn't spend too much ourselves thanks to Tesco - vouchers for Pleasure Beach and Blackpool Zoo and all our food shopping at the big Tesco, half a mile from the site.

Been to quite a few Havens now, and this one was pretty good but every time the attempts to get you to part with extra cash is more and more blatant.

    Typical night in the club:-

    Cash Bingo
    Family Prize Bingo
Meet & Greet with a character plus pin badges to buy
Raffle draw to win Character related merchandise.
    Photo Op with Characters
    Raffle for Booze.

Thankfully, our kids know better than always wanting but I can see how 4 days away can turn out to be a bit more expensive than you plan for.

Oh yeah, i noticed that too! it was my first time so didn't know what it's like.
they work their magic with the kids and encourage them to spend a pound here and there  balloons, raffle tickets, toys etc.

Only spent one evening in the family bar as it was far too noisy for DS (3yr old) and hubby but I quite enjoyed it :D
Next time i wouldn't bother with the entertainment passes, we could do without.

Never got to use their swimming facility. What was it like? :)

Pool was quite good really. Nice and warm and they eventually put a lifeguard on and opened the slide up for the kids, although he stopped everything to sell goggles and the like from the pool shop.

If anyone has a spare booking form that they are not using could you let me know? I have not been sent one this time and really want to book a summer break!

    Thanks if anyone can help.

  • Just got back from Waterside, Devon. Lovely location, nice site, very helpful, and lovely year old van. Weather fab, my kids in the outdoor pool!!Had booked on another site in a chalet( Riviera- went to see it and was glad we'd changed,it was like Hi Di Hi) , but got cold feet and rang Park Hols Uk and changed to a van on Waterside. Beware of chalets, from talking to others!! Well worth £9.50 each
