DD - too much taken who do I ask for to repay the resulting charges?

Hi guys,
I hope you can help.
I had a letter from the company that does my printing stating the amount that they would be taking from my account in January. I thought it was a bit high and when it came to it I was £25 short of what they wanted. Consequently I had insufficient funds and was charged by both the bank and the print company for this (£65 in total)
Anyway it turns out the company had overcharged me by £150. If the DD had been correct in the first place it would have gone through no problem.
Do I approach the print company to reclaim both the bank charge and their own charge?

If the printing company have taken too much money on a variable direct debit then of course you should ask them to repay you..they should only take what is due. You can always try getting the money for the charges from them as well as if they agree they have made a mistake with the bill you should not have to pay the consequences of it.
However you will need them to agree that the amount taken was wrong, so what are they saying at the moment when you ask?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi Soolin,
Thanks for replying.
They are agreeing to refund the £150 overcharge at the moment. I haven't mentioned the resulting bank charges.Earn £11,000 in 2011 - 72.550 -
If you mention the resulting bank charge and provide them with proof of this, they should refund it.
Your bank would ask you to contact the third party who made the mistake if you asked for a refund through them because it is the third party at fault.0
