:T Great find - thanks very much for the post. I've booked this as a belated anniversatry gift and we're off there next weekend to take advantage of the Spa.
Can I ask those that have already been how the food was? I noticed they offered alternate options..at a cost! Not very money saving I know, but as its a special occasion I wondered if it was worth upgrading..any thoughts?
Also, what was included in the two hours spa package..I was so excitied to book such a good deal I forgot to ask..!!!:rotfl:Look after the pennies...;)0 -

It's called the "Fire and Ice" treatment. They have full details on the Belfrey site under Aqua spa. You are going the weekend before us as we're going midweek just after you, So could you please possibly report back as to how it all was? Would be much appreciated - I'm well excited! :T
Hope you have a great time  x0 -
Ok chaps I have just returned from my break at the Belfry.
I went with two girlfriends and we had twin rooms opposite each other. The views from my room were lovely as I overlooked the courtyard fountain which was lit up at night.
We had dinner last night in the Atrium restaurant and put simply, the food was sensational. There is no need to upgrade to the other restaurants! We had so much food that we should have burst! We ate constantly from 8pm till 10.45pm and tasted most of what was available. The food ranged from salads to roast lamb, steamed salmon fillets, roast turkey breast, shepherds pie, chicken curry with a range of vegatables such as purple sprouting broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, roast parsnips, roast potatoes. There were also pasta dishes and goats cheese, pepper and aubergine stacks. The pasta was divine! You could help yourself to most things and the carvery main dishes were served by the chefs at the hatch and you could have anything you wanted, as much or as little. The desserts were wonderful and fattening unless you had the fruit salad but why would you when you could have so much more! The halzenut cheesecake and blueberry tart were sensational! I cannot believe how much we ate.
The drinks we had were not too badly priced. Half a Becks was £1.90 and the double vodka and coke was around £8 or £9 but continental measures and my friends reckon that it wasn't too bad at all (I don't know but I don't drink it!). The cheapest bottle of wine was £20. (We had one I had brought with me later in the room instead).
The breakfast this morning was also superb with continental choices, cereal, fruit, yogurt as well as a full cooked english breakfast buffet where you help yourself. We took some danish pastries for later with consent of the head waitress as she said they bin anything left! We couldn't eat too much brekky because we were still stuffed from dinner!
Our 2 hour spa was at 10am but we weren't on time - they didn't bat an eyelid and we went in at about 10.50 and came out about 1.15pm to retire to the pool area where we aquired loungers and had a nice kip! The Aqua spa is great. We have been a couple of times before so we knew the ropes. There are lots of rooms from steam araoma caves, crystal steam rooms, two saunes - one mid and one hot, an igloo ice room and an ice bucket and bonkers freezing shower drench, and a wonderful hydropool. The idea is you get mega hot in the sauna and then jump in the freezing zone! It wakes you up alright! Then chill in the hydropool a couple of times. Heaven.
We had a nice time relaxing - any refreshments at this point are extra but we got it all thrown in because we borrowed a couple of robes (they normally charge a fiver for these but we didn't have to pay as I had been overcharged on my booking) and they thought we were on a proper spa day. So we got juice, tea and coffee all afternoon too. We left around 6pm after a brilliant stay. We love the Belfry and will definitely be back.
Those of you going soon, enjoy - I am sure you will!!!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Hi,
Just wanted to say Mega Thanks to Heavenlygee for this offer. I wish I could hit the thanks button a thousand times but it won't let me.
Just returned from our spa break. No point in writing about what it was like as I would be repeating almost word for word what KatsKorner put. Only difference was that we had Martini and lemonade which came in at £10.20 for two.
Thank you again, Heavenlygee, for the fantastic time we have just had.0 -
