    Bought this one around 15 years ago http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0716008092/qid%3D1124701190/202-1697024-1223032 (looks like it's now out of print though). It's more 'restaurant' than authentic, although I'm sure many of the other books mentioned have anglicised their recipes a bit.

    How about AN INDIAN HOUSEWIFE'S RECIPE BOOK by Laxmi Khurana. It cost me £2.50 many years ago - its a paperback. Mine is very dogeared and practically yellow, from age and turmeric!

    we use Indian every day by Anjum Anand. Haven't had a bad curry out of it yet.
    She does focus on the healthy living side, her recipes are lower in fat than many of the curry recipes found elsewhere.
