hi people, wondered if someone could give me some advice
my boyf and i had an offer accepted about two weeks ago, we are fist time buyers.
got a broker to find us a good deal with the nottingham building society
estate agent started to try and hurry us but we were still wanting for the all go from mortgage.
spoke to nottigham and the were waiting for a valuation date but could still not give us a yes or no whether we got this mortgage, is this normal?
decided we couldnt wait any longer to get things moving faster so paid the solicitors to start the searches.
have we done all that we can and is it just a waiting game now?
how long does this stuff usually take?
thanks people, just wouldnt want to lose this house

no but our broker didnt think there would be any problems.

please help someone
im getting really worried about this
must be a good sign they are doing valuation right????0 -
I wouldn't worry too much - your mortgage broker should understand the market and he doesn't seemed worried.
Providers are cutting back, but as you have a decent regular joint income and a decent deposit you'll be fine.
The delay could be because of the smaller providers have been inundated with applications.0
