Queens

My son will be starting Queens, (hopefully), in September. He doesn't want to go into halls or near the Holy land. Anybody know of anywhere suitable. There are three of them and they would like to share a house.

The Lisburn Road or Stranmillis areas have a good few student houses and aren't as rowdy as the Holy Lands.
Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"

The solution may be Queen's Mount Charles properties. These are large terraced properties which are typically occupied by older or quieter students. They are absolutely fantastic, much better than almost any private rental you will find and without much of the associated hassle. What needs to be kept in mind is that these are not normally young undergrad properties and there would be serious problems if a lot of noise were created... post grads writing up Ph.D. theses are desperate individuals and it is not advisable to bother them!!!
